The Boston Celtics appeared to be cruising to a drama-free bounce-back win Sunday night at TD Garden. Instead, the Orlando Magic made them work for it.

The Magic worked a 22-point Celtics lead down to as little as six in the final two minutes. They would get no closer, however, as the C’s held on to earn a 138-129 win and improve to 9-8 on the season.

Jaylen Brown (35 points) led a balanced scoring effort for the Celtics, as Anfernee Simons (23 points), Payton Pritchard (19 points), Josh Minott (16 points), Derrick White (16 points) and Sam Hauser (14 points) all reached double figures.
