A 46-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning after his motorcycle experienced an apparent tire malfunction.The Miami County Sheriff’s Office, EMS and the Louisburg Fire Department responded to the area of U.S. Route 69 and 223rd Street around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday on reports of a crash. First responders found several citizens providing aid to a man who was seriously injured. Preliminary investigation showed that a 2016 Indian Chief Dark Horse motorcycle traveling north on U.S. Route 69 suffered a tire malfunction, causing the driver to be thrown from the motorcycle. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The sheriff’s office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating.
