A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Lee Road just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol says.The crash happened at the intersection of Lee Road and Kingswood Drive.Investigators say a 32-year-old man from Apopka was driving westbound on Lee Road in the center lane when a 53-year-old Winter Springs woman began walking across the westbound lanes outside of a marked crosswalk.Troopers say the woman entered the vehicle’s path, and the front of car hit her.The driver stayed at the scene and was not transported. The 53-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.FHP says the crash remains under investigation.
