PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WWSB) — U.S. Sen. Ashley Moody announced she will hold a press conference at the northbound Punta Gorda Weigh Station in Charlotte County on Monday.

Sen. Moody is expected to be joined by U.S. Rep. Greg Steube and Florida Highway Patrol Col. Gary Howze to urge swift passage of the Safer Truckers Act, legislation she recently introduced to strengthen highway safety and improve conditions for commercial drivers and the traveling public.
