Tampa police detectives have launched a homicide investigation after a woman was found mortally wounded at a Seminole Heights apartment complex Monday evening.
Officers responded just after 6 p.m. to the Meridian Pointe Apartments in the 2400 block of East Hillsborough Avenue and found a woman with “upper body trauma,” according to a news release from the Tampa Police Department.
The woman was taken to the hospital and died there.
Police have not released the woman’s name or any other details.
