CALLS FOR CHANGE ARE ECHOED BY A CROWD OF NEARLY 3000 PEOPLE. TODAY, THE STREETS LEADING NEAR DONALD TRUMP’S MAR A LAGO, PACKED WITH PROTESTERS AND A CARAVAN. THEY SAY THEY HOPE POWER IN NUMBERS WILL EMPHASIZE THE SHEER AMOUNT OF PEOPLE BEHIND THE MESSAGE, CALLING THIS A DAY OF DEFIANCE. DUBBED AS NO KINGS DAY, TRUMP LOOKS IN THE MIRROR AND SAY, EVERYBODY IS AGAINST ME. THAT’S NOT TRUE. WE’RE AGAINST YOUR POLICIES. NOBODY. PEOPLE VOTED FOR YOU, BUT NOBODY VOTED FOR THIS. PROTESTERS SAY THEY WANT TO SEE A MOVE TOWARD MORE PROGRESSIVE POLICIES FROM THE TOP DOWN. ACCOUNTABILITY CHECKS AND BALANCES. WHAT THIS GOVERNMENT WAS, WAS FOUNDED ON AND HOW IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE. Nearly 100 ‘No Kings Day’ protests are set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 18 across the state of Florida.

According to a press release from organizers, the peaceful protests are part of over 2,500 events nationwide.
