A man was arrested on Tuesday after being accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend in Miami by installing two hidden cameras at her apartment, authorities said.

According to authorities, on Oct. 8, an officer responded to a report of a possible domestic situation. When the officer arrived at an apartment, he met with the victim, who told the officer that she and Guillen had been in a relationship for about seven months.
An arrest report said that during the time of their relationship, the victim started to suspect that Guillen was spying on her, and told the officer that when she was home alone and had a private conversation, he would mention specific details about that conversation.
The victim, feeling suspicious about Guillen, bought an R/F camera detector, which scans for hidden devices like cameras and recording equipment, the report said.
When the victim used the R/F camera detector in her apartment, the report said, the detector found a possible device inside an electrical socket in her living room.
Police were then called to the apartment, and after unscrewing the electrical outlet cover, they found a hidden camera, the report said. As officers searched the rest of the apartment, they found another camera hidden in an electrical socket in the victim’s bedroom.
During the search, the victim was texting Guillen and identified him to officers with a photo, the report said.
The victim also gave officers screenshots of text messages between her and Guillen, where he admitted to installing the hidden cameras, the report said.
A month after finding the hidden cameras, officers on Tuesday located Guillen, and he was taken into custody.
