JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars on Wednesday practiced at the Miller Electric Center.
The Jaguars (7-4) will play the Tennessee Titans (1-10) at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday in a 2025 Week 13 game. A look at Wednesday around the Jaguars – with Head Coach Liam Coen speaking to the media before practice and quarterback Trevor Lawrence speaking to the media after practice:
Lawrence on Wednesday said he likes the overall trajectory of the offense.
“We’re moving it really well,” he said.
The Jaguars in winning 3 of the last 4 games have scored at least 27 points in 4 consecutive games – their longest such stretch since 2017. They have produced at least 348 yards in 3 of 4 games, with the exception a Week 10 loss against the Houston Texans – the No. 1-ranked defense in the NFL.
“There is definitely stuff to clean up, as there always is, but overall we have been more consistent,” Lawrence said. “We’ve had some turnovers we need to clean up, but most of those possessions we were moving the ball. Our time of possession already has been good so it’s just all positives. Obviously, we have to clean it up but really excited for it.” …
Trevor Lawrence on Wednesday also discussed the support he receives from Coen, who on Monday said he never lost faith in the passing offense in a 27-24 victory overtime victory over the Arizona Cardinals Sunday – even with Lawrence throwing 3 interceptions along with 3 touchdown passes.
“That as a quarterback is a good feeling when you know your coach trusts you regardless of the circumstances,” Lawrence said. “He still trusted me with the ball to go make plays and was happy we were able to get it done – for obviously for him, for our team. That’s a big part of this whole team deal – is the trust. It’s with coach to us and vice versa. We have that and it’s continuing to grow every week, so it has been fun.” …
Jaguars linebacker Foyesade Oluokun this past Sunday surpassed 1,000 tackles for his career, registering 10 tackles against the Cardinals. He now has 1,009 for his career and is 1 of 6 active NFL players with more than 1,000 career tackles.
