The winning numbers from the Powerball’s Wednesday, Oct. 15 drawing were 10-13-28-34-47, and the Powerball was 15.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One Powerball player’s life changed overnight after matching all the winning numbers in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.

The Florida Lottery announced early Thursday that someone won the Powerball’s second tier prize of $1 million in Wednesday night’s drawing, and that the winning ticket was sold at the Publix located at 7117 Merrill Rd. in Jacksonville.

The winning numbers were 10-13-28-34-47, and the Powerball was 15, according to the Florida Lottery. The winner of the Powerball’s $1 million prize matched all five numbers, but did not match the Powerball.

The Florida Lottery’s website states that winners of a draw game like the Powerball must claim their prize within 180 days after the draw date. In this case, the person with the winning million-dollar Jacksonville ticket has until Tuesday, April 14, 2026 to claim their prize.

Powerball drawings take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 ET, according to the Florida Lottery. After no one won Wednesday’s jackpot, the grand prize has climbed to $295 million.

The overall odds of winning a prize in the Powerball are one in 24.87, and the odds of winning the jackpot prize are one in 292,201,338, according to the Florida Lottery.
