According to arrest reports, the pair were arrested after a victim said their Ford F-350 that had been stolen on Nov. 24 was pinging at a home on Northwest 123rd Street.
A Miami-Dade Sheriff’s detective responded to the home and saw Perrerra dismantling a pickup truck that matched the description of the stolen vehicle, the reports said.
Perrerra tried to run inside the home when he saw detectives but was taken into custody, and detectives met with Roman-Troncoso, who said she was the tenant on the property, the reports said.
Deputies and detectives searched the home and found the F-350 mostly dismantled, but the VIN matched the stolen vehicle, the reports said.
They also found doors and a hood from a blue Ford F-250 that had been reported stolen on Nov. 24, the reports said.
Investigators uncovered black garbage bags containing documents including three Florida vehicle registrations assigned to the F-350, four State Farm ID cards and a Geico insurance card, and a Florida vehicle registration for the F-250, the reports said.
Another black garbage bag had a Florida vehicle registration for a white Ford F-450 that had been reported stolen on Oct. 1, along with four South Carolina vehicle registrations belonging to a F-450 reported stolen in Homestead on Oct. 23, the reports said.
All four vehicles were worth over $40,000, according to the reports.
Roman-Troncoso and Perrerra were both arrested and booked into jail.
