Fix yourself, because The Wombats have a new album out, and they’re kicking off the next leg of a North American tour behind it at Jannus Live.

Oh! The Ocean, which dropped in February, pretty much encapsulates the deeper thoughts of someone raw-dogging depression and anxiety. Along with its relatable-AF title, harmonious opening track “Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come” is an unsettling ode to self-awareness not being the be-all-end-all, but still being able to dominate one’s headspace. And the more industrial-sounding “I Love America And She Hates Me” depicts the nation as a manipulative figure that keeps Matthew Murphy and friends coming back for more.

The Liverpool-based trio hasn’t been in state since an opening slot for Weezer and the Pixies in Tampa’s old Gary amphitheater in 2018 (which a good number of us missed due to I-4 traffic). There’s currently no opener on the bill for its first show of 2026 either, so be on time.
