A person was detained after a shooting in Miami involving an off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer early Tuesday, police said.
Miami Police said they initially received a call of a suspicious person in the area of Northeast 7th Avenue and 71st Street shortly after 5:45 a.m.
They then received several calls of shots fired in the area. Officers responded and detained a person.
No one was injured, and the incident remains under investigation.
Investigators were also speaking with the CBP officer involved and witnesses.
A CBP spokesperson said their Office of Professional Responsibility responded to the scene and was reviewing the incident.
