As of 7:30 p.m., the westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard are closed as an investigation takes place.
CLEARWATER, Fla. — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital following a crash in Pinellas County on Tuesday evening, officials say.
Clearwater police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to the crash on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m.
Details about the collision are unknown at this time, but officials say the man was flown to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital as a trauma alert with possible life-threatening injuries.
As of 7:30 p.m., the westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard are closed as authorities remain on scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
