PORT ST. LUCIE — A 22-year-old motorcyclist suffered severe injuries when his 2024 Kawaski collided with a Toyota Corolla at Northwest St. James Drive and Northwest Macedo Boulevard on Oct. 15, according to Port St. Lucie police reports.
The Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Northwest North Macedo Boulevard at about 4:20 p.m., and was attempting to turn left onto Northwest St. James Drive when the driver hit a motorcycle which was headed south on Northwest St. James Drive in the inside lane, according to police reports.
The motorcyclist, a Port St. Lucie resident who was not wearing a helmet, suffered severe but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, according to police reports. There is no traffic signal at that intersection.
The male driver of the Corolla was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police reports. There are no signs of impairment at this time, according to police reports.
Police have not released the names of either driver.
