It’s time to get into the holiday spirit and the Village of Key Biscayne will be spreading some holiday cheer with three events to bring the community together for Christmas.

It all starts from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., on Dec. 5, at The Square Shopping Center, when Toy Town celebrates their traditional Elf Magic Party, which is truly the most magical time of the year. Come meet and take your photo with Santa and his elves, enjoy face painting, refreshments and entertainment.

The Key Biscayne Yacht Club presents its annual Holiday Flotilla, a sparkling parade of festively decorated boats gliding across the bay, from 6-8 p.m., on Dec. 13, at Boater’s Grill inside Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.

In addition to the boat parade, the Holiday Flotilla will feature a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, fireworks, arts and crafts vendors and musical entertainment.

The event is expected to draw hundreds of people and showcase the island boat culture, which has become a big part of the holiday celebration for Key Biscayne

Residents will gather along No Name Harbor, Pines Canal, and Hurricane Harbor, as the island will be lit up for the holidays. The Cleat, at the tip of No Name Harbor, is holding a watch party with live music, drinks and food specials and other treats.

The holiday boat parade is popular in Florida and beyond including the popular Winterfest Boat parade in Ft. Lauderdale.

Key Biscayne residents don’t have to travel to Broward County for Winterfest when the Holiday Flotilla is also a premier boat parade.

Key Biscayne will also be celebrating with its Winterfest 2025 for the holiday season.

The event is set for 6 p.m.-10 p.m., on Dec. 6, 4-7 p.m., on Dec. 7, at the Village of Key Biscayne Civic Center.

On Saturday, the free event features live entertainment, such as performances by the Decotones and the MoTowners, along with rides, games, activities and food.

On Sunday, Santa Claus will make an appearance for kids to submit their Christmas lists, and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

The event is open to the public.
