SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies in Sarasota County wrangled a 14-foot alligator that was later trapped in the middle of a road in the Lakewood Ranch area, according to the sheriff’s office.
In a video posted on social media Wednesday, officials said it took seven “brave deputies” and one “skilled trapper” to capture the 600-pound reptile.
Deputies said the gator was spotted around 9:18 p.m. on the front porch of a home located on Isla Del Ray after it tripped the front door alarm.
