WeatherTech founder David F. MacNeil listed his Fort Lauderdale, Florida oceanfront estate with a $35.99 million ask. The billionaire made the move a few months after purchasing a Manalapan residence that carried a $95 million price tag when it was listed on the market, according to Realtor.com.

The listing shows that MacNeil closed on the Manalapan estate for $55.5 million. He already owned a neighboring residence before completing the Manalapan deal.

Joe Farrell, who built and sold the Manalapan property, told Realtor.com that MacNeil plans to invest additional millions in that property by demolishing it and then rebuilding it, despite its recent completion with fresh construction.

This plan aligns with the timing of his decision to market his 10,289-square-foot Fort Lauderdale waterfront home, Realtor.com reported. The Fort Lauderdale residence surfaced last year with a $47.5 million ask, but MacNeil lowered the figure by more than $11 million in an effort to draw interest and support his broader Manalapan plans.

The Fort Lauderdale home rises across three levels on a shoreline lot with 100 feet of ocean frontage. The interior features floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the Atlantic across multiple rooms. According to the listing, Bomar Builders finished the home with global stone, custom millwork, sculptural lighting, Poliform closets, and expansive glass walls that open the interior toward the water.

One of the standout elements sits above the beach line. A floating infinity-edge pool stretches out in front of the main living areas, creating an elevated spot that looks over the ocean. The pool sits right off the terrace with lounge spaces on each side, connecting to the living, dining, and entertainment areas through wide sliding glass doors.

A contemporary staircase ties the three levels together and brings in full ocean views as you move through the home. The open floor plan lets light travel through all three stories, giving the property a clean, modern coastal feel.

The chef’s kitchen opens toward the ocean with a layout that works for everyday cooking or larger gatherings, according to the listing. It connects directly to the main living areas and extends out to the terrace and summer kitchen, creating an easy indoor-outdoor setup that blends the dining, lounge, and cooking spaces into one continuous area.

The primary suite spans the oceanfront side of the upper level with its own terrace, a spa-style bathroom, and a calm, resort-like feel. The home also includes a glass-enclosed wine room, several lounge spaces, a private office, and separate guest areas.

The rooftop terrace crowns the property with a fireplace, wide seating areas, and open views of the Atlantic. This level completes the home’s vertical layout, giving it a full set of indoor and outdoor spaces across all three floors, according to the listing.

Compass Listing Agent Chad Carroll expects the sale to close quickly at the current price point, according to Realtor.com. “It will sell pretty quickly. It is a prime Fort Lauderdale beach location, located minutes away from the restaurants, shops, and marina, and has a private beach,” Carroll said.
