TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Dozens of shelter dogs would love to find a home for the holidays!
Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever families, faster!
Here the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET ROXIE
Roxie is easy going and affectionate and loves to snuggle up!(WCTV)

Roxie is affectionate and easy going.
This 9-year-old is looking for a loyal and loving companion who will give her the space and grace to settle in.
She’s not a fan of kennels or small spaces.
She *is* a fan of snuggling and leaning in for a double back scratch.
Roxie enjoys the company of cats and dogs and is ready to find a spot on the couch or the porch … right next to you!

Gumby is a happy hound dog who loves to shake hands, hold hands and he’ll even give you a high five!(WCTV)
Meet Gumby!
Hold on to your heart. This happy hound dog is calm and easy going and he loves to show off his impeccable manners.
Gumby can sit, shake and wait patiently for treats.
He can high-five ya’ and hold your hand.
This smart boy is eager to learn even more tricks.
Gumby is a stray but it’s clear someone loved him and he’s ready to find a family to love him again, rub his long ears endlessly and take him for walks in the woods or just about anywhere.

MEET CRYSTAL
Crystal is ready to find a family that appreciates her for the confident, strong woman she is!(WCTV)

This two-year-old is no shrinking violet. She is energetic and excited about life!
Crystal has been at the shelter longer than any other dog and she’s so ready to find a family that appreciates her for the confident, strong woman she is.
Crystal loves splashing in kiddie pools.
She snorts when she’s happy and gets a case of the wiggles waiting for treats!

Misty is a sweetheart looking for a sweetheart of an owner that can stick by her side for life!(WCTV)
Meet Misty!
This two year old is all about trust and companionship.
Misty is shy at first, but warms up quickly. Her little tail starts wagging and she’s good to go!
Misty loves treats. She likes to call them “cookies.”
Our walk started with Misty cautiously checking out our camera and trying to hide behind and between the legs of Miss Marti, one of the shelter’s best dog walkers. But that didn’t last. The ear rubs were just too good.
Misty is a sweetheart looking for a sweetheart of an owner that can stick by her side for life!

MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
People can walk through the kennels Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. People can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
