Two 13-year-old girls were arrested Sunday after they were accused of stealing a vehicle, two guns and committing multiple vehicle burglaries throughout Cape Coral between Oct. 10 and 12.According to the Cape Coral Police Department, Lazette Porter and Cali Hill were accused of taking various personal items and credit cards, in addition to the vehicle and two handguns, from unlocked vehicles, which were mostly sedans and SUVs.Cape Coral police said the vehicle the girls are accused of stealing was a sedan from a driveway that was found later abandoned in the city.The burglaries were connected by officers with shared evidence, which included surveillance video that showed two young girls suspected of going into multiple vehicles overnight, the police said. The suspects were later identified as Porter and Hill.Later on, CCPD said the girls were accused of driving the stolen vehicle and having items connected to the burglaries while they stopped at multiple McDonald’s and gas stations in the vehicle.On Sunday, Oct. 12, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office helped officers find Porter at a home in North Fort Myers. According to the police, they found two handguns that matched a burglary the girls were accused of being connected to.
