JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A group of kindergarteners is helping foster a blind kitten that was recently rescued by a local organization.
Ana’s Angels Animal Rescue rescued the kitten from a rural Georgia shelter with the help of “Pilots for Paws,” a nonprofit organization with volunteer pilots and plane owners who are willing to assist with animal transportation.
According to the organization, Mandarin Oaks Elementary kindergarteners are fostering the kitten before he undergoes double eye removal surgery.
This October, Ana’s Angels Animal Rescue will be celebrating 25 years of offering pet adoptions in Jacksonville.
According to the organization, Dr. Christian Broadhurst examined the kitten for an initial vet exam and will be performing the surgery at Clay County Humane Society in the upcoming weeks.
