A man was arrested in connection with a double homicide case from 2020, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies first responded to the area of East Colonial Drive and Shepard Road in reference to a vehicle colliding with a guardrail on Sept. 3, 2020.When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man and a woman unresponsive inside the vehicle.Both victims were later pronounced dead, and OCSO confirmed they had been shot, making it an active homicide investigation. Liam Kelty, 28, was first arrested Saturday at the Cancun Airport in Mexico with the assistance of U.S. marshals. Kelty was extradited to Miami Dade County Jail from there on Monday before being transported to the Orange County Jail. He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
