Storms expected Sunday in Central Florida ahead of cooler weather

ERIC, THEY ARE LOOKING LIKE THEY’RE HAVING SO MUCH FUN OUT THERE AND THE WEATHER IS GOING TO HOLD UP FOR THAT RACE. YEAH, THIS AFTERNOON, POP IN ELF THE MOVIE, RIGHT, AND STAY AT HOME. ANY LAST MINUTE DECORATING OR IF WE NEED TO DO SOME SHOPPING, WHATEVER WE. THIS IS THE TIME TO DO IT. I’M GIVING YOU PERMISSION TO DO THAT. TAKE A BREAK. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SIR. YOU’RE VERY WELCOME. YOU NEED A DOCTOR’S NOTE? DON’T ASK ME. I’M NOT A DOCTOR, BUT YOU GET THE IDEA, RIGHT? SO IMPACT WEATHER CERTAINLY IS WITH US. NOT THIS MORNING, THOUGH. SO IF YOU’RE STILL WANTING TO DO THAT, LAKE EOLA 5KI BELIEVE THERE ARE STILL BIBS AVAILABLE. YOU CAN ALWAYS SWING BY AND SAY HELLO TO THE WESH TWO CREWS OUT THERE. AND I’M HAPPY TO SAY THAT WHILE TEMPERATURES ARE A LITTLE COOLER THAN YESTERDAY, WE’RE NOT LOOKING AT RAIN FOR THE RACE, AT LEAST NOT WIDESPREAD. THERE MAY BE A SPRINKLE THAT POPS UP, BUT THINGS ARE NOT BAD. THEN LATER ON TODAY, THAT’S WHEN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS START BECOMING A MORE WIDESPREAD THING AROUND TOWN. AND WE EVEN GET INTO SOME FEISTIER STUFF. 2 P.M. TO 8 P.M. IS THE TIMELINE FOR THE STRONGER WEATHER SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE HERE? HIGHLIGHTED IN GREEN A LEVEL ONE OUT OF FIVE. RISK FOR ISOLATED, STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS. AND WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE SEVERITY, THE BIGGEST CONCERN IS GOING TO BE HEAVY RAIN. WE’RE ALL BASICALLY GOING TO GET IN ON SOME OF THAT. BUT WITHIN THAT THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND EVEN AN ISOLATED TORNADO OR TWO. HAIL DOES NOT LOOK TO BE A THING WITH THIS WEATHER SYSTEM. IT’S GOING TO MAINLY BE THE HEAVY RAINFALL WITH A POCKET OF HEAVIER STUFF SPINNING UP. NOW THAT SAID, LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT FUTURECAST. THIS IS 10:00 IN THE MORNING, A FEW SHOWERS, BUT IT’S GOING TO BE A MOSTLY CLOUDY SKY FOR BASICALLY THE WHOLE AREA AND A FEW PASSING SHOWERS BY 2 P.M. THAT’S WHEN THE ENERGY STARTS MOVING INTO OUR AREA. 3:04 P.M. THE VILLAGES, PALM COAST, DELAND, DAYTONA BEACH NOTICE 6 P.M. FROM ABOUT LEESBURG OVER TO SANFORD, THEN INTO ORLANDO BY SEVEN 8:00, AND THEN GRADUALLY WEAKENING AS IT PUSHES OFF TO THE SOUTH AND THE EAST THROUGH ABOUT 11:00 TONIGHT. THIS IS ALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE STORM SYSTEM THAT’S IN NORTH FLORIDA, BUT GETS A LITTLE KICK OF ENERGY MOVING OUR DIRECTION AND THEN EVENTUALLY THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON, WE’LL HELP TO CLEAR US OUT AND COOL US DOWN. AND WHILE TODAY’S HIGH, AT LEAST IN ORLANDO, IS ABOUT 8081 DEGREES, TOMORROW, WE’RE LIMITED TO 73. AND BY TUESDAY IT’S 69 DEGREES. SO THERE’S DEFINITELY AN ADJUSTMENT OF TEMPERATURES BEFORE WE START TO CLIMB WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. FOR THIS MORNING. PORT CANAVERAL LOADING UP WITH THE SHIPS. BUT YOU CAN SEE PLENTY OF CLOUDS ON OUR VARIOUS TOWER CAMS. AND HERE’S FIRST WARNING LIVE RADAR WITH A FEW SHOWERS, PARTICULARLY IN OUR NORTHERN SPOTS. AND THE REALITY IS, IT’S THOSE NORTHERN SPOTS THAT WILL SEE THE MOST CLOUD COVER AND THE MOST RAINFALL, WHICH IS WHY YOUR TEMPERATURES ARE LIMITED TO ABOUT 72. IN OCALA AND PALM COAST, 76 IN DELAND, 81 FOR US IN ORLANDO. THE FURTHER SOUTH YOU GO, THE MORE OPPORTUNITY WE HAVE TO SEE SOME SUNSHINE. THUS WARMER TEMPERATURES. AND IN TERMS OF RAIN, IT’S A MEDIUM TO A HIGH PERCENT CHANCE, ESPECIALLY HIGHER THE FURTHER NORTH YOU GO. CENTRAL FLORIDA CERTIFIED MOST ACCURATE SEVEN DAY FORECAST SHOWING THE RAINS, EVEN A FEW SHOWERS LINGERING INTO EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. BUT IT WILL CLEAR OUT AND IT WILL REALLY HELP TO COOL DOWN. NOT A FROST OR FREEZE, BUT A NICE TURN IN TEMPERATURES BY TUESDAY. WE’LL TALK MO
