December 8, 2025 – The Arbor Day Foundation has named Pinellas Park a 2025 Tree City USA in recognition of the city’s commitment to responsible and effective urban forest management. Pinellas Park earned the designation by maintaining a dedicated tree board or department, upholding a tree-care ordinance, sustaining an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per resident and hosting an Arbor Day observance ceremony. Urban tree canopies enhance neighborhood appearance, boost property values, lower home cooling costs, filter pollutants and support wildlife habitats.
