PORT ST. LUCIE – Port St. Lucie Police are investigating an accident at Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in the 9000 block of U.S. 1, Port St. Lucie where a girl was killed while riding a go-kart on Dec. 6, according to police reports.
Officers responded to a 911 call at about 8:51 p.m., regarding an accident involving a child, according to police reports.
Officers responded to the scene and located the juvenile, who was being treated by St. Lucie County Fire District personnel. The child was subsequently airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.
On Dec. 7, police were notified that the child passed away from her injuries.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. No other injuries were reported.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)was also notified, as required, according to police reports.
No additional details are being released at this time as this remains an active investigation, police said.
Urban Air is closed on Mondays and officials there could not be reached.
