Ocoee police seized hundreds of items Tuesday as part of an investigation into the sale of fake trademarked merchandise, including supposed Louis Vuitton and Chanel items.

Officers executed a search warrant at two shops inside the West Oaks Mall on West Colonial Drive, Trenditions and World Tech Store of Orlando, seizing evidence relating to the suspected trafficking of counterfeit goods, Ocoee police said in a news release.

Items seized included merchandise, business records, digital devices and other materials connected to ordering, storing, or selling counterfeit products, according to police.

The release said investigation began after multiple undercover visits where customers were seen buying alleged designer trademarked items, which brand representatives later confirmed to be counterfeit.

Additional merchandise also believed to be counterfeit was found openly displayed for sale.

“Every counterfeit item we seized today was one less victim in a broad scheme to defraud the citizens of Ocoee,” said Sgt. David Ogletree of the department’s criminal investigations division. “I want to thank the private investigators who brought this to our attention.”
