THE CITY COUNCIL JUST DECIDED THAT IT IS BEST TO SPEND THE MONEY TO PUT UP THE WALLS AND THE ROOF. THE OTHER OPTION WAS TO SPEND 1.4 MILLION DOLLARS TO FULLY EQUIP THE BISTRO. INSTEAD, IT WILL BE EMPTY FOR A FUTURE COMPANY TO FURNISH IN BY THE RESTAURANT EQUIPMENT COUNCIL’S LOOKING FOR A NEW CONCESSION VENDORS TO RUN THE BISTRO. IT CUT TIES WITH THE FIRST ONE. Cape Coral City Council votes to finish Jaycee Park Bistro project

In a unanimous vote, the Cape Coral City Council voted on Wednesday in favor of spending $648,000 to finish building Jaycee Park’s new bistro.This option will include a completed shell for the bistro with a roof, but nothing will be inside.According to the city, the total amount approved is $648,000. This includes $216,000 for the bistro’s shell and the rest is to replenish contingency and cover other costs tied to the park project.In addition, a previous concessionaire agreement fell through, so the city said it will step in to complete the shell.
