Workers sort clothes at a Goodwill store on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando.

Shoppers at Goodwill stores across Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, Seminole and Lake counties recently helped to raise more than $30,000 for  Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida hosted a monthlong roundup campaign to support the food bank, pledging to match up to $10,000.

Between Nov. 1 and 30, shoppers were able to roundup their purchases – generating a total of $20,162. Of Goodwill’s 31 retail stores in Central Florida, the Lady Lake store saw the highest grossing roundup of dollars.

This initiative generated more than 120,000 meals for Central Floridians at risk of experiencing hunger.
