The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating an arson case that occurred at Pelican Park.
Police responded at around 9 a.m. on Thursday, where they isolated the playground section of the park.
WINK News reporter Paul Dolan traveled to the scene, where he witnessed police tape surrounding the playground perimeter and around 5 law enforcement vehicles stationed.
The Cape Coral Fire Department confirmed that they addressed the morning fire by extinguishing it.
The area remains closed to the public while law enforcement works the scene.
