A South Florida doctor is facing charges after a chaotic incident that unfolded in the middle of rush hour traffic on the Palmetto Expressway, authorities said.

According to an arrest report, Mansur and a friend had been drinking and were picked up by her husband before a fight unfolded in his car on the expressway.
Mansur’s husband pulled over near the West Flagler exit ramp, and that’s when she kicked him in the face before climbing onto the hood of the car, the report said.
Detectives said Mansur then sat down in one of the lanes of the highway, causing traffic to come to a standstill.
When authorities arrived, Mansur was “noticeably heavily intoxicated” and her friend had to be hospitalized due to “alcohol intoxication,” the report said.
Mansur was arrested, but not before becoming aggressive once more, the report said, as she began kicking parts of the patrol car and spit in an officer’s face.
After she was booked into jail, Mansur appeared before a judge on Wednesday, where a prosecutor gave more details about her arrest.
“She spit directly into the officer’s face with saliva and blood,” the prosecutor said. “And she needed to be Tased.”
Her husband appearing in court by Zoom and was asked by a judge if he’s afraid of his wife.
“No, not at all, she is my wife, I love her,” he said. “I’m outside the jail, I was hoping to see her and take her home.”
A judge set her bond at $5,650.
Records show Mansur is a doctor and an internal medicine specialist. In a statement, Mount Sinai Medical Center said she is no longer affiliated with them.
“Mount Sinai Medical Center’s top priority is the safety of our patients, visitors, and employees. We are aware of the incident involving a physician who is no longer affiliated with Mount Sinai. The incident did not occur on our campus and did not involve Mount Sinai patients or staff,” the statement read. “As this is a matter involving an active investigation, we cannot comment further. Mount Sinai is cooperating fully with the appropriate authorities and remains committed to providing a safe and professional environment across all of our facilities.”
