A series of accidents snarled traffic during the evening commute on Capital Circle Northeast and Thomasville Road.

Tallahassee Police Department Watch Commander Damon Miller said the Northeast Tallahassee gridlock began with an accident in the northbound lanes at about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 11 on Killarney Way that has since been cleared. However, there are also traffic crashes reported on Thomasville Road where Capital Circle and Thomasville Road merge and another on Killearn Center Boulevard and Village Square Boulevard.

As of 5:30 p.m.: On Capital Circle, traffic was backed up past Mahan Drive. Traffic was stop and go on Thomasville Road just past Midtown.

By 6:15 p.m., traffic was beginning to clear.

Miller said there were no injuries reported at this time.
