A Hialeah man arrested in a teen sexual battery case tried to blame his acts on “ghosts” before the alleged victim was able to secretly record him touching her while she slept, police said.
Jose Luis Antigua-Martinez, 60, is facing charges including sexual battery, unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, and indecent, lewd or lascivious touching of certain minors, an arrest report said.
Antigua-Martinez was arrested on Thursday after a nearly five-hour SWAT standoff that began when he barricaded himself while armed, police said.

The standoff happened as officers were trying to serve a warrant on him in the sex battery case, authorities said.
According to an arrest warrant, the teen told investigators that for months she would be sleeping and be awakened in the middle of the night with the sensation that someone was touching her.
The teen said she would look around and see Antigua-Martinez snoring and no one else in the room, and when she mentioned it to Antigua-Martinez he told her there were “ghosts in the house,” the warrant said.
“The victim said she shared her concern with the subject who told her that a child passed away in the apartment a long time ago and must be the deceased child’s ghost,” the warrant said.
A friend suggested she record herself so on Nov. 20, the teen set her phone up to record her sleeping and was once again awakened by the sensation of someone touching her, the warrant said.
She said she stood up and found Antigua-Martinez awake, and he asked her the whereabouts of her phone, the warrant said.
When she reviewed the recording, she said it showed Antigua-Martinez removing her covers and touching her privates and rubbing his genitals on her, the warrant said.
She said after watching the video, she was shocked and appalled and texted Antigua-Martinez that she never wanted to hear from him again.
He apologized and said he “will change the way he shows love to her but will never stop loving her,” the warrant said.
Antigua-Martinez was booked into jail and was being held without bond Friday, records showed.
