Central Florida to see warm weekend before cold front brings chilly change Monday

  • December 13, 2025

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is enjoying pleasant weather now, but a noticeable change is in store as the work week begins. A cold front is expected to push through the region on Sunday, bringing a wave of cooler air on Monday.

Setup

This front is forecast to move in from the north and west, with temperatures dropping quickly late Sunday and into Monday. Plan for a sharp transition from the warmth you may be feeling now to some of the chilliest air of the month so far.

This weekend’s pleasant weather (before the front)

If you’re heading outdoors or making weekend plans, you’re in luck. According to Pinpoint Weather forecasts, afternoon highs Saturday and Sunday are expected in the upper 70s.

Today’s highs

Skies are expected to remain mostly sunny with dry conditions.

Sunday-Monday transition: Fog, isolated showers, and wind

Patchy dense fog will be part of the early Saturday routine, especially along I-4. Although visibility may be limited for a while in the morning, it’s forecast to quickly improve as the sun rises.

As the cold front arrives on Sunday, expect a few more clouds and the chance for isolated showers, mainly along the coast late in the day. By Monday, central Florida will likely wake up to chilly and breezy conditions. North winds are forecast to pick up, ranging from 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph possible. It’s a good idea to grab a jacket before heading out Monday morning and to check that outdoor holiday decorations are secure.

Wind gustsTemperature trends and Christmas outlook

Monday starts out in the lower 50s and climbs to a high near 65 degrees, with Monday night dipping down to 49 degrees.

Looking ahead, a warming trend is expected by midweek, with highs rebounding into the 70s and even 80s toward the end of the week. A warmer than average outlook for central Florida and much of the Southeast as Christmas approaches, suggesting the holiday may feel more like early fall than winter.
