MIAMI — Authorities are investigating after they said a male was found dead in a body of water in Miami Lakes on Saturday morning.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a medical call just after 8:30 a.m. in the 15300 block of Northwest 60th Avenue after a person was reported floating in the water.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews arrived at the scene, removed the individual from the water, and pronounced him deceased.

The individual’s age, identity, and cause of death has not been released at this time.

Authorities said MDSO’s Homicide Bureau has taken over the investigation.
