Extreme cold as you wakeup on Monday morning for Tallahassee, the Big Bend and South Georgia

  • December 14, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A cold front will bring colder temperatures and breezy conditions by the end of your day

Sunday morning stroll:

A quiet and cool start to your Sunday, with temperatures in the 40s inland and 50s near the coast.

As you head out to walk the dog, head to church, or grab breakfast this morning, keep the light jacket around. Sunshine for many of us.

Turning breezy and brighter:

As you head to lunch or leave church this morning, clouds will quickly move in during the late morning and midday.

An isolated shower is possible as a cold front passes through the early afternoon. The front’s bigger impacts will be winds picking up behind it.

For the second half of your Sunday, skies will clear, and north winds will gust between 15 and 25 mph. Temperatures begin to slowly fall throughout the day. The southeast Big Bend will be a bit warmer than the western Big Bend and South Georgia.

Arctic air Monday and Tuesday morning:

The noticeable change will arrive overnight on Sunday and Monday morning as you head out the door. Temperatures will be in the 30s and upper 20s, but with the wind. Feels like temperatures will be in the teens and low 20s. This is the coldest we have seen in some time.

We will struggle to reach 50 degrees on Monday afternoon with the breezy north wind continuing. I am expecting plenty of sunshine despite the chill in the air.

Tuesday morning will also be very cold with numbers tumbling down to the upper 20s. Temperatures rebound quickly Tuesday afternoon reaching the low 60s.

Warmer late-week:

Temperatures will slowly warm through the rest of the week. Highs in the upper 60s and low 70s with partly cloudy skies. Morning lows in the 40s and 50s.

There is a small chance of showers late week as the next cold front arrives across the southeast Thursday into Friday.
