The board includes Marco Lopez, Audit Manager at ZOMMA Group, LLP, Yaneth Baez, Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Vivian Z. Chavez, Chief Operating Officer of Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. and Gussie Flynn.

Marco Lopez
Lopez is a CPA and Audit Manager at ZOMMA Group, LLP where he oversees the management and execution of audit engagements. He has over a decade of experience in the accounting field and is a member of the American and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is president of the Cuban American CPA Association and sits on the board of the United Way Audit Committee. Lopez earned both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University. He has been part of the Miami Bridge board since 2018.
Yaneth Baez
Baez, an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, currently serves in the Human Trafficking Unit where she has led complex investigations and successfully prosecuted high-profile cases. Previously, she was Chief of the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Unit, overseeing thousands of cases and mentoring new prosecutors. A Miami native, Baez earned her B.S. in political science from Florida International University and her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law where she was recognized for her excellence in trial advocacy and public interest work. Baez is active in community outreach and professional organizations, including the League of Prosecutors and the National Black Prosecutors Association. She is also a frequent speaker on human trafficking awareness and is currently pursuing a seat as a County Court Judge in Miami-Dade County.
Vivian Z. Chavez
Chavez has been a dedicated leader at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. since 1998, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer. With extensive experience in operations, human resources, program administration and legal advocacy, she plays a key role in guiding the organization’s strategic and administrative functions. Chavez is a licensed attorney in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida with a strong background in nonprofit leadership and public interest law. She holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Florida International University. Her commitment to community service and excellence has earned her multiple recognitions, including the Steven M. Goldstein Award for Excellence and leadership honors from The Florida Bar Foundation and The Miami Foundation.
Gussie Flynn
Flynn is a seasoned fundraising, public relations and marketing executive with over two decades of experience driving strategic growth and community impact across South Florida’s nonprofit sector. She has successfully secured more than $50 million in funding through capital campaigns, grant writing and donor cultivation, supporting organizations such as The Salvation Army, YWCA, Chapman Partnership, Florida International University and Community Health of South Florida. Flynn holds a Master of Science in public administration and criminal justice from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in sociology and social work from Florida Southern College. She is an active member of numerous professional and civic organizations, including the National Association of Fundraising Professionals and Women United.
