A woman was taken to the hospital after the SUV she was driving rolled over and landed on its side in a hit-and-run crash in Northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

It happened on Monday at around 6:15 a.m. at Northwest 16th Avenue and 119th Street.

Multiple Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) deputies responded to scene, where a preliminary investigation revealed that “a vehicle struck another vehicle, causing the driver to hit a pole.”

The woman driving the SUV was taken to the hospital in stable condition by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene and failed to call 911, the sheriff’s office said.

Aerial images show the SUV on the grass, on its left side outside Alhambra Cove Apartments. Eventually, the vehicle is righted and towed away from the scene with its airbags deployed. One of its tires is left behind.

MDSO General Investigations detectives are investigating.
