Your weekend is here, Central Florida! Here’s a look at the news and what events are going on in the area.
With mostly clear skies and quickly cooling conditions at the surface, early morning fog is possible Saturday, mainly between the hours of 4 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Saturday morning temperatures will vary between the lower 50s and the middle 40s, depending on how far north and low-lying your neighborhood may be. For example, the Orlando Metro is anticipated to range between 52 degrees and 54 degrees, but Ocala, which is further north within Marion County, is expected to have 46- to 48-degree temperatures.
Although high pressure continues to transition into the Atlantic, Central Florida will remain under mostly sunny skies, with a slow increase of cloud cover toward the end of the day. The wind begins to switch out of the south, allowing warmer air to flutter into Central Florida and help increase temperatures to the middle and upper 70s.
As we move into Sunday, a cold front from the interior of the Southeast will deepen into the Sunshine State, providing better cloud cover for Sunday afternoon, but only a few isolated showers are forecast as the front comes into contact with more dry, stable air.
Stay up to date on the forecast by downloading the Spectrum News app. You can use Klystron 13 to track the showers and get live weather alerts for your exact location. It’s free to download in your app store.
