TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Two separate shooting incidents occurred in Tallahassee on Monday, leaving two men with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
The first shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Appleyard Drive. TPD said a man was sitting in a vehicle with another person when at least two men approached the vehicle and opened fire, shooting the victim in both legs. The man was able to leave the scene and drove to an emergency care center. Officers said the other person in the vehicle was not injured.
Police have not released descriptions of the suspects or a motive in this case.

The second shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the 3800 block of Sunburst Loop. TPD said a man was sitting in his vehicle when someone he knew pulled up behind him in a U-Haul truck.
The suspect banged on the victim’s window and tried to pull him from the car, according to TPD. When that failed, the suspect shot the man in his left hand and drove away.
Police say the victim went to the Circle K at 433 Crawfordville Highway, where officers found him and took him to a local hospital.
Police located the U-Haul truck and recovered evidence related to the shooting. Investigators said that the incident appears isolated, and no arrests have been made.
Both investigations remain active. Police are asking anyone with information to call TPD at 850-891-4200 or Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS to remain anonymous.
