TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Fire Rescue crews spent about an hour Tuesday morning fighting a two-alarm fire at a home.

Firefighters responded to the 800 block of E. Baker St. at 10:30 a.m. and found a single-story house fully involved with heavy smoke and flames visible between two houses.

In a news release, authorities said: “Due to the instability of the structure prior to the fire, firefighters changed tactics to a defensive attack for the safety of the responders.”

Crews got into the home and found nobody inside but did say a person was rescued from a home next door.

There were no serious injuries, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
