PORT SALERNO, Fla. (CBS12) — In just days, a 13-year-old racked up 11 felonies—stealing cars and golf carts, burglarizing homes—and he’s free again, deputies say.
Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, say that over the past several days, 13-year-old Jesus Gaspar Rojas was arrested and booked on 11 felony counts, including:
Three counts of grand theft autoFour burglariesOne count of possession of burglary toolsThree felony criminal mischief counts
Investigators say they’ve identified at least six victims of the crime spree that terrorized the Salerno area.

His criminal behavior included breaking into vehicles, destroying steering columns, stealing three golf carts and damaging them, committing a burglary, and damaging property, according to the arrest report.
Deputies say Rojas has been processed in the Department of Juvenile Justice three times in the past six months and has been released shortly after each time.
According to MCSO, detectives executed a search warrant and found stolen property.
Due to his age, deputies say it has been challenging to keep Rojas from committing more crimes in the community.
Rojas has been released again and is back in his mother’s care; however, the sheriff’s office says it is taking all legal measures available to address the situation.
