TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The College of Southern Idaho women’s basketball team defeated Tallahassee State College 76-69 Tuesday, maintaining their perfect record at 14-0.
The Golden Eagles and Eagles were tied 18-18 after the first quarter. The second quarter remained close, with the game tied in the final 30 seconds before Tallahassee made a shot to take a two-point lead into halftime.
CSI found their rhythm out of the break, outscoring the Eagles 23-6 in the third quarter. Lea Nadolny, Savannah Stoker and Chloe Jensen each hit shots to help build a 56-41 lead after three quarters.
Stoker led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 24 points, Samara Morrow followed her with 14 and Ashley Garner was the only other Golden Eagle in double figures with 10 points.
CSI was outscored 28-20 in the fourth quarter but held on for the victory. The win sets up a matchup between undefeated top-10 teams when CSI faces No. 2 Chipola College on Wednesday.
