Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver commit Ny Carr plans to enter the transfer portal after two seasons with the Miami Hurricanes. Carr, a former four-star recruit, was committed to Georgia from July 2022 to Sept. 2023.
Carr committed to Miami in October 2023 and signed with the Hurricanes in December that year. The 6-foot, 175-pound receiver was the No. 98 recruit in the class of 2024. Carr is known for his sharp route running. However, his first two seasons at Miami did not go as planned.
This year, Carr posted three catches for 45 yards. He was eclipsed by Miami star Malachi Toney, who was arguably the top freshman receiver in the country. Toney was a reliable target for quarterback Carson Beck. He has 84 receptions for 970 receiving yards and seven touchdowns entering the College Football Playoff.
In 2024, Carr recorded one catch for eight yards in four regular-season games. Carr has three seasons of eligibility left. Carr, who entered the portal in the spring before withdrawing and returning to Miami, is a three-star transfer.
There are a few reasons Georgia could target Carr in the portal. He was a previous Georgia commitment and is from Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. Carr has a family connection to UGA as well. His cousin, Jae Lamar, is a four-star running back recruit in the class of 2026 that signed with the Bulldogs.
