DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man missing from Delray Beach was found dead in Pompano Beach.
The Delray Beach Police Department (DBPD) provided an update on Friday, saying Ronald Genua Jr., who had gone silent after leaving a treatment facility earlier this month. Tragically, he was found dead in Pompano Beach.
Genua was last seen on October 9 and had not responded to family or friends since October 10, prompting authorities to issue a missing and endangered adult alert. His disappearance sparked concern across the community, with many sharing the police department’s plea for help.
“It is with great sadness that we share that Ronald Genua Jr. has been located deceased in Pompano Beach,” the department said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. We sincerely thank everyone who shared our post and showed care and concern in helping to locate him.”

Genua was described as a white male, 5’9″, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with brown and gray hair. Police had advised the public not to approach him if seen, and instead to contact their non-emergency line.
No further details have been released regarding the circumstances of his death, but police do not suspect foul play. The investigation remains ongoing.
