ORLANDO, Fla. — On Dec. 18, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team spread some holiday cheer to kids at the Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, rappelling from the roof at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.

A group of deputies rappelled from the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children roof and waved to the kids on their way down
The holiday celebration has been going on for more than five years
They waved to children on their way down and gave out gifts and toys to patients in the hospital.

For the children and families, this experience is special.
“It can be such a down time, and it can be really stressful for him but being able to be here, and watch these guys, and see people do these cool things, he’s just loving it,” parent James Donley said.
His son enjoyed the event, too.
“My favorite part is them coming down the rope,” Gaelen Donley said.
The SWAT team members said it’s fun for them, too.

“It feels amazing. This is a privilege that we look forward to every single year, and we’re glad to have the opportunity to give this experience to the children,” said Mondezy Lindor of the OCSO.
