A cold front will slide through the southeast overnight. This will bring more showers and a few storms to the area. A few brief gusty winds are possible. Lows will be mild in the 50s.
Until the cold front passes, rain chances will stay high, but not as widespread as they have been much of the day.
For your Friday, clouds and a few morning showers are possible before noon. Sunshine will break out in the afternoon. Highs near 70 as high pressure starts to take over. Breezy throughout the afternoon.

Sunshine prevails as we head into the weekend and high pressure continues to dominate the southern U.S. Saturday and Sunday will both start in the 30s. 70s in the afternoon.

More dry and above-average warmth heading into Christmas week. Temperatures in the 40s overnight and 70s in the afternoon, including Christmas Day.
