An adult victim had to be flown to the hospital after a domestic-related shooting in Miami Gardens on Thursday evening, according to the Miami Gardens Police Department.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at 7:13 p.m. in the 3300 block of Northwest 177th Terrace, where they found an adult who had been shot.
The victim was airlifted to the hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and a person was detained at the scene for further questioning, authorities said.
Police said the shooting was domestic-related. The investigation is ongoing.
