Vacant residential structure catches fire in Woodville early Friday morning

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A vacant “double-wide mobile home” caught fire early Friday morning in Woodville on Hassell Road, according to a press release from the Tallahassee Fire Department.

TFD said crews arrived at about 5:16 a.m. and saw that the structure was “fully involved.” The fire department wrote that crews brought the fire under control within minutes to prevent the spread to other properties.

The department said the cause of the fire is “undetermined.” This is the ninth residential fire in December, according to TFD.

TFD was assisted by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS and Talquin Electric Cooperative, per the press release.
