A man convicted of fatally shooting a man and his girlfriend during a home invasion robbery was put to death Thursday evening in a record 19th execution in Florida this year.

4. Deputy AG says ‘several hundred thousand’ Epstein files to be released Friday, more over ‘next couple of weeks’
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a TV appearance this morning that the Justice Department will release “several hundred thousand documents” in its investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein later in the day — as required by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was signed into law last month.

TAMPA LANE CLOSURES | The center and outside eastbound lanes of East Hillsborough Avenue will be closed between North 30th Street and North 32nd Street while the Tampa Water Department repairs a water main break. Additionally, both northbound lanes of North 30th Street will be closed between East Giddens Avenue and East Hillsborough Avenue. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 4 p.m. The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work.

LIGHTNING VS. HURRICANES | The Tampa Bay Lightning is scheduled to play Carolina Hurricanes in Tampa tomorrow night, following a 2-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings last night. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
