Elliott Aster kicked off weekend brunch at The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club last weekend. Doors open every Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 am to 2 p.m.
The menu blends breakfast classics with midday fare. Guests can pick from baked goods, French toast, and beef cheek hash. Seafood towers, burgers, steak frites, and a grilled grouper sandwich round out the choices.
Chef Lee Wolen heads the kitchen. The eatery debuted earlier this year at The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection at 501 5th Ave NE. Wolen earned a James Beard Award nomination.
Brunch cocktails? They’ve got mimosas and a Bloody Mary. Craft cocktails join the mix. Coffee, craft mocktails, beer, and wine fill out the drink options.
Dinner has drawn praise since the doors opened, and brunch builds on those evening plates with tweaks suited for daytime dining.
The Vinoy space boasts grand proportions with coastal touches throughout. Servers bring dishes to your table.
Brunch aims for a slower weekend vibe “that encourages guests to linger, savor, and share,” according to I Love The Burg.
