Tallahassee judge hopes to fill open seat on Florida’s Supreme Court

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee Judge is hoping to fill an open seat on Florida’s Supreme Court.

In a little over a week, Robert Long will be one of ten judges interviewed for the position. Born in Tallahassee, Long has practiced law since 2008.

He attended Tallahassee Community College, Florida State University and the University of Florida before joining a U.S. Navy Officer School. He currently serves in the First District Court of Appeal.

The other applicants for the open seat are Alex Bokor, Hunter Carroll, Roger Ganman, John Guard, Joushua Mize, Thomas Palermo, Samuel Salario, Jared Smith and Adam Tanenbaum.

Interviews for the Florida Supreme Court opening happen on December 29.
